A gadget is an instrument, ranging from a 2M card, USB Key, to the key holder etc.

2M has four (4) types of gadgets namely Smart Card, Keyholder, Watch and USB.

10.  What is the deference between various gadgets?

      Technically all of them have the same operational functions. Only physical difference and cost.

11.   What is an applet?

      An applet is a software component that runs in the context of another program inside SIM/RUIM card or in phone. Generally an applet contains VAS (Value Added Service) for operator.

12.  How can I download an applet in my phone?

You can download via:

First download the applet using Bluetooth, memory card or mobile cable.

      VA is virtual account. Any 2M customer has one.

MA is mirror account. Any 2M partner has one.

17.  What is the difference between VA and MA?

     VA is for customers and MA is for partners (financial institutions)

18.  What is Cash In?

      Cash In is when you transform cash into electronic money for use with your card or any gadget

19.  How will I do cash In in my VA?

      You will do cash In by going to one of the 2M authorized partners.

20.  Is there any charge for cash in

Yes there is depending on the media u decide to use

21.  After having done cash In into my VA what type of benefits will 2M give me?

      After doing cash In into your VA, You can load your smart card for micropayment. You can also transfer money and pay bills either directly through your phone or by going to the nearest terminal.

 

22.  How can I check my VA balance?

You can check your VA balance through phone, terminal or visiting our FI/Agent

23.  Is there any way to check my VA balance using phone?

Yes you can check your VA balance using Account Balance menu using your phone 

24.  If I forget or misplace my PIN how will I get my PIN back?

If you forget your PIN you can call 2M call centre

25.  If I want to change my PIN how will I change it?

If you want to change your PIN you can use your phone or you visit FI

26.  If I misplace my card what should I do?

If you misplace your card you should call 2M call center or visit FI to unlink your card

27.  After I misplace my card how will I get a new card?

After you misplace your card you can apply to 2M for new card

28.  How much do I need to pay to get new card?

3 000 FCFA

29.  How can I transfer money to a 2M customer?

By phone

Through a terminal

Web interface (by visiting a FI)

30.  Can I transfer money to a non 2M customer?

Yes.

31.  What do I need to transfer money to my mother who lives in village?

      You need to make sure that there is a 2M POP (point of presence) in the village, or you need to locate the nearest POP.

32.  How will my mother withdraw the money?

      If she is a 2M customer, she does a cash out from her account.

      If she is not a 2M customer, she just go to the nearest POP with a code or proper identificatio

33.  What is cash out?

      Cash out is the process of transforming electronic cash  from your card or any gadget into physical cash.

34.  How can I carry out cash out?

      Cash out can be done using your phone or smartcard via a Dual terminal or Web interface.

35.  From where can I do cash out?

Cash out can be done through any FI agent or Merchant

36.  Is there any charge for cash out?

Yes there is

37.  Can I cash out all of my money?

Yes you can

38.  How much can I cash out on a particular day?

My Money Silver account holders can cash out up to 100,000 FRS

My Money gold account holders can cash out up to 1 000,000 FRS

39.  Can I pay bill using 2M system?

Yes you can

40.  What type of bill can I pay using 2M?

You can pay CDE and SNEC bills

41.  Is there any extra fee using 2M system to pay bill?

No

42.  What about bill receipt? Is it acceptable by the utility Company?

Yes

43.  What is Smart card?

A Smart card is gadget for 2M customer. Exactly it’s a RF card that can be used in Dual or Dummy terminal to make a transaction by any 2M customer. The Smart card also support Micropayment service which is not available for phone user

44.  Is this number printed on my smart card my VA number?

No. The printed number on your smart card is not your VA. When you will open VA the system will generate a VA for you. The FI/Agent will provide you the VA. You need this VA to make any transaction in the web interface. In the case of phone and terminal you will use your phone number/card number which is link with your VA.  

45.  Can I print my picture on the smart card?

We cannot print your picture on Smart Card. In future we will provide this opportunity to customer

46.  Can I send money abroad using 2M system?

  Currently it’s not available.  You will get the service soon.

47.  How can I send money abroad using 2M system?

        N/A.

48.  Can I use my Master/VISA card in 2M dual terminal?

      Currently you cannot use Master/Visa card in 2M dual terminal. We are working on it. You will get the opportunity to use it soon.

49.  How many partners do 2M have?

      2M has existing and prospective Partners. Some are Technical partners, like CAMTEL, COREGATE and RINGO.

      There are also Financial Partners like, U.BC, FIFFA, EU, Credit Du Sahel.

      There are also utility partners like CDE.

       There are also other working partners like BETTER PLANNING and MT CREATION.

50.  Can I get my VA history for last month? If possible how?

      Yes, it’s possible. Simply go to the MENU be it the phone or terminal, choose the option “View Log» and then you can see the history for any given period of time. It is also possible at the FI

51.  Is 2M a bank?

      No, it is not a bank, it’s a services provider of electronic payment systems (financial transactions) such as, Bill payments, money transfer etc.)

52.  If my account remains inactive for 2 years what will happen?

       For now nothing will happen. But giving the several services offered by 2M,if an account is not active for three months, it should be suspended. For it to reactivated a fee should be demanded.?????????????????

53.  Is there any maintenance cost on 2M account?

      No, there is no maintenance cost on 2M accounts, there are rather transactional costs.

54.  Can I open two 2M accounts?

No but you can update from one account to another

55.  How much fee will I be charged for transferring money?

A merchant is any individual or corporate body that has signed a contract with 2M to act as a media for 2M transactions.

59.  Who is a 2M agent

 A 2M agent is any person who undertakes to prospect and potential partners for 2M

60.  How much do I need to open a 2M account

      Account opening is free. But after the account is opened, the customer will pay the price of the gadget he wants to use for transactions out of the FI (RF card: 3000; Key holder: 5000; watch: 25000)

61.  What is the cost of a dual terminal

 400 000 FCFA.

62.  What is the cost of a dummy terminal amazing

              150 000 FCFA.

63.  Can I use my 2M USB key to store my information?

              No. It is just an electronic payment device.
